Umsizi Sustainable Social Solutions is a company which ‘provides sustainable social solutions and socio-economic expertise’ for government and non-governmental organizations, for the mining industry, for for the communities impacted by the activities and developments of these companies. Umsizi approached One Part Scissors to create a stylish new website that conveys the high-impact nature of their business, while providing clients and potential clients all the information they require to make their decision about making use of Umsizi’s services.
The website we created for Umsizi is built on the Drupal content management system, allowing for a powerful and robust base for the website. The website also features a client login, whereby Umsizi clients can access their project documentation in a safe and secure environment.
The choice of images and design elements communicates the feeling of an effective high-impact organization. Certain images were supplied by Umsizi, showing the communities which they have impacted through their work, and more conceptual images of the industries they work into are represented by stock photography. Overall, the images convey activity and energy.
